While our component shelves & amplifier racks are specifically designed with audiophile performance features, the aesthetic & finish-quality makes Folgenhaüs some of the finest furniture available. Meticulously & painstakingly sanded to a glass-like finish, the solid hardwood is then hand brushed with multiple coats of all-natural tung oil for a lifetime durability and enjoyment.

For collections with sidewalls, all 3 tiers are built together, then inlaid with solid brass bar. This fine furniture building technique allows the grain pattern to “waterfall” down the sides, plus produces exacting precision on the brass inlay alignment. The sidewalls are then cut to length after a first round of sanding is completed. Large traditional Japanese master woodworking-style joinery connect the cross shelves & uprights, and without the use of any screws & connective hardware.

Custom-made in the U.S.A, all hand-cut joinery, notching & finishing is handled by our master woodworker, Sage Eckman, whose lifelong pursuit is focused on producing the finest, most luxuriously handcrafted furniture.

FUNCTION

Designed to meet & exceed the most stringent standards for audiophile furniture, the Folgenhaüs collections utilize the finest time-tested acoustically neutral materials including:

• Solid rock maple (aka sugar maple) known for its hard density due to its slow growth & close grain structure

• Solid brass footers, spikes & hardware which are known for their properly tuned resonance compared to other metals that can ring too sharp or too flat

• Ultra high tensile strength, yet soft 50-durometer neoprene gaskets are used in collections with stacked shelves to dampen vibration

Component shelves & amplifier stands are hand-built and come in any size to match your exact audiophile components. Folgenhaüs can provide custom schematics showing your specific equipment to ensure perfect sizing. Our standard Depth is 21”.

• 66” Triple-wide units (up to 1,200 LBs per shelf)

• 48” Double-wide units (up to 1,400 LBs per shelf)

• 26” Single-wide units (up to 1,600 LBs per shelf)

• 1-shelf Single-wide amplifier stands (3.5” tall with footers, and up to 1,600 LBs)

• 2-shelf units: 20” tall (with footers)
